Days Inn by Wyndham Elko

Despite how it looks on the outside, the inside is surprisingly tidy and looks renovated? It's one of those rare Days Inn where the inside looks way better than how the outside looks. I know they dont have real breakfast here, but we were leaving at dawn so it didn't really matter anyways.

The room was clean and neat. Everything was neat and tidy. The tables and desk were in good locations and useful. It was very impressive.

As seems to be a pattern with Days Inn, the outside of the motel is a bit shabby and in need of updating, however the room is much nicer inside than the outside would indicate. Very nice sized room, clean and comfortable. I have not had the breakfast yet but saw in the lobby where it would be available in the morning. They do not have a breakfast room so it's either grab and go or take it back to your room to eat which is ok with me. I did not see where they will offer any hot items, it looked like only bagels, yogurt, maybe fruit and coffee. The manager seemed nice and was very helpful when I had trouble getting my room door open. Operator error on my part but he didn't rub it in! LOL There is a wonderful restaurant right next door. I ordered a rib eye steak dinner. The price was $38.95 plus tax. The steak was tasty, thick and HUGE. The meal came standard with soup (Clam Chowder since it was a Friday), salad, bread, baked potato, green beans, rice and spaghetti! Everything was delicious except the spaghetti which had an odd sauce on it that tasted like pork and beans to me. Their menu had many choices including a number of seafood options, lamb, pork among them. The staff provided outstanding service.

Close to everything

The location is perfect and easy to navigate to and from. There are several restaurants within an easy walking distance. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The sheets were fresh and super clean smelling. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
